Becas Vallarta is pleased to announce the recent receipt of resources from the Alas de Águila Foundation. It is important to mention that these contributions represent a significant boost to our scholarship program, reaffirming our commitment to eradicating school dropout and promoting education. That’s why we are excited to share that our association has recently achieved the optimal level of accreditation in institutionalism and transparency granted by CEMEFI (Mexican Center for Philanthropy). This is a testament to our commitment to integrity and transparency in everything we do. Our Mission: We transform education by providing scholarships and workshops on various topics to academically excellent students from low-income families in Puerto Vallarta. At Becas Vallarta, our mission is clear: we want to create opportunities for young people in rural communities of Puerto Vallarta. We believe that education is the key to a better future, and we are determined to combat school dropout rates at the root. With the help of our incredible donors and the hard work of our team, we have been providing scholarships to talented young individuals, giving them the support they need to continue their studies and pursue their dreams. This enables more and more young people to complete their education up to the bachelor’s level, leading to an improvement in their quality of life and contributing to the progress of our local community. On September 21 and 22, Becas Vallarta joined the 4th Regional Meeting of Social Organizations organized by The Network of Altruistic Associations of Puerto Vallarta A.C. This event stands as a clear example of continuous training as a fundamental pillar for Civil Associations. The inter-associative collaboration was emphasized, highlighting the importance of joining efforts to overcome common challenges. For our association, this participation was an excellent initiative to connect with professionals better prepared in their causes and an additional boost for our objectives. Moreover, a key point that marked this meeting was the promotion of sustainable development and community participation, which are fundamental pillars for achieving lasting social change. On the past 19th and 20th of August at Los Mangos library, we gathered our community of young scholarship recipients, staff, and donors to once again celebrate our delivery of educational supports, which took place in two phases. On Saturday, we held our second scholarship delivery for high school and university students who received their checks corresponding to their second annual installment, a significant boost to continue with their studies and achieve their dreams. The next day, it was the turn of middle school students, who received their annual package of school supplies and uniforms with great enthusiasm. This event, filled with hope and joy, would not have been possible without the tireless generosity of our donors and collaborators, who are the true heroes behind these gestures of solidarity and support. The delivery not only represents material aid for our young people but also an investment in the future of our community, a gesture of confidence in the potential of our youth. We want to extend a warm thank you to everyone who made this event possible. Thanks to you, these talented youngsters can continue pursuing their academic and professional goals with fewer obstacles in their way. Education remains one of the most powerful tools for personal development and our community as a whole. These events are tangible proof of what we can achieve when we join forces to invest in the future. From the bottom of our hearts, we want to say thank you! There are many talented young people who have the dream of becoming artists, but for different reasons, they cannot afford to pay for their studies. For this reason an initiative between Becas Vallarta in alliance with PV Shares has arisen, creating the program “Peter and Buri Gray Scholarships for Art students”. The objective of this program is to sponsor young students of visual arts by providing them with financial support. PV Shares, for its part, will make an annual donation of 20,000 mexican pesos, which will be given on two occasions during the year: one in February and other in August. The 10,000 pesos will be given to each beneficiary who has been selected for the program. At each award ceremony, one young visual arts student will be selected to receive the scholarship. The selected student must meet certain requirements, such as demonstrating exceptional ability in the arts and a true passion for his or her career. The “Peter and Buri Gray Scholarships for Art Students” program aims to support young talents in the city, who have shown a great interest in the arts and who need help to achieve their dream. This initiative in its first stage represents a great opportunity for young art students from Puerto Vallarta and its surroundings. In addition, the program will not only benefit young students, also will have a positive impact on the community at long time. The promotion of arts and culture are fundamental to grow like a society, and this programme is a major step in that direction.
